
Withdrawal Management Unit (WMU)
The Withdrawal Management Unit provides short-term residential, social model (non-medical) detoxification services for adult men and women.
Services are provided in a clean, supportive and calm environment designed to assist individuals through the difficulties and dangers of detoxification from alcohol in a non-medical setting. Services are provided by staff who are knowledgeable and trained in the recognition and dangers of intoxication and withdrawal-related challenges.
The WMU is located on-site with the Gladys Ray Shelter.
How is WMU licensed?
Our WMU is licensed by the North Dakota Health & Human Services Behavioral Health Division.
How does it work?
Clients of the WMU meet with a Licensed Addiction Counselor, complete a variety of assessments and participate in treatment planning. The foundational purposes of the WMU are safety, engagement and recovery.
