Criminal History Checks

The Records Bureau will conduct local criminal history checks for a fee of $10. The fee must be paid before the check is conducted. Only arrest information is given out and the information provided is limited to the information maintained by the Fargo Police Department Records Bureau. If you want a person's complete criminal history, you must contact the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

How can I get a copy of a criminal history check?

You may request a copy of a report over the phone by calling 701.235.4493, submitting the below contact form electronically, or download the request for a criminal history check and return it to our lobby. Electronic submissions MUST include a completed and attached "Request for Criminal History" form. Failure to do so may result in a delay in processing your request.
