The Draft Check Meter kit contains a Black & Decker thermal leak detector which uses an infrared sensor to measure energy loss and identify leaks. For more information and a video on how to use one of these meters, visit the Xcel Energy site here.

Draft Check Meter kits are located at all three library locations. These kits can be checked out for up to three weeks and may be renewed if there are no holds or requests for the item. Library patrons can place holds on the thermometers via the library’s catalog and the device can be sent to the selected branch library for pick-up. Patrons must have a Fargo Public Library account in good standing to check out a Draft Check Meter kit from the library.
