Utility Billing Rates

A City of Fargo residential utility bill contains several charges. Below is the rate information for each charge:

Water: Water is billed at a base rate (dependent on your water meter size) up to 2,000 gallons, then at a rate of $4.90 for each additional 1,000 gallons. For details, review the current water and sewer rates.

Sewage: The residential rate is $21.50 per month.

Garbage: Residential customer's monthly rates vary depending on cart size. The following cart options are available: $6.00 small, $9.00 medium and $14.00 large. Recycling is an additional $4.00. Contact Solid Waste at 701.241.1449 to change cart size.

Storm sewer: The residential rate is $5.00 per month.

Forestry: The residential rate is $5.98 per month. Please visit Forestry for more information.

Mosquito control: The residential rate per unit is $1.00 per month.

Street lighting: The residential rate is $7.00 per month.
