*** NOTICE: City of Fargo Sidewalk & Approach Inspections Open Monday, November 2nd through Friday, November 6th ***
With warming temperatures in the near forecast, the City of Fargo will allow licensed and bonded contractors to perform work in City right of way for one week. The City of Fargo will open inspection requests for city sidewalks and approaches on Monday November 2nd. The City of Fargo will begin taking line and grade requests Friday October 30th through Wednesday November 4th. Sidewalk and approach inspections will close for the season Friday November 6th. Please contact the City of Fargo Engineering Department at (701) 241-1545 and request “Sidewalk or Approach inspection” for a specific site.

The City of Fargo's sidewalk construction program is operated and managed by the Engineering Department's Design and Construction Division. Each year the Engineering Department administers two sidewalk construction projects: one for newly constructed sidewalks and one for the reconstruction of deficient sidewalk.
Per the North Dakota State Century Code, the City of Fargo requires that all property owners construct and maintain sidewalks on all lots and parcels adjacent to municipal right of way.
