Appraiser II - Brenda Sommer
Brenda Sommer has served in the City Assessor’s Office for five years and currently holds the role of Appraiser II. She began her career with The City of Fargo as an Office Associate III before being promoted to her current position in residential appraisal.
In this role, Brenda is responsible for assessing residential properties to ensure fair and accurate valuations across the community. Her attention to detail, dedication to accuracy and commitment to public service are evident in the high-quality work she delivers for Fargo residents.
Brenda is a conscientious and dependable team member known for her excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. She approaches every challenge with a thoughtful and steady mindset and is always willing to step in where needed.
In recognition of her professionalism, initiative and ongoing contributions to the Assessor’s Office, Brenda was presented the Fargo Rising Star Award by Department Leadership. She is a valued part of her team, and her colleagues agree the department is stronger because of her.
