Department of Communications & Governmental Affairs
The Department of Communications & Governmental Affairs (CommsGA) serves the residents of Fargo by providing governmental transparency through communications support to the Mayor, City Commissioners, department heads and the media. The department also plans, coordinates and collaborates with other departmental public information officers (PIOs) regarding the timely dissemination of information.
CommsGA manages external communications for The City of Fargo, including media relations, multimedia promotional campaigns, the City websites, overall web presence, social media outlets, branding, organizational communication policies, printed publications and the operation of government access television channels.
The office also manages internal communications relevant to employees of The City of Fargo.
