Fixed Route Dispatcher - Andrew Almer

Andrew Almer has worked for The City of Fargo as a Fixed Route Dispatcher for MATBUS for more than three years. In this role, he monitors daily bus schedules, provides customer service, logs incidents and ensures communication between staff and management. He also tracks vehicle locations using two-way radios and software, completes reports and coordinates with various transit personnel to maintain efficient service for Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo and Dilworth.

Prior to joining The City of Fargo, Andrew worked for The City’s transit contractor Transdev where he served as a Dispatcher, Road Supervisor and Bus Operator. His extensive experience with the transit system has made him a valuable resource for both passengers and staff.

Andrew is known for taking initiative beyond his job responsibilities. He has identified areas for improvement in transit operations and offered solutions to enhance efficiency. His passion for public transit and dedication to serving Fargo’s citizens set him apart.

In appreciation of his commitment, Andrew received a letter of recognition from Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski for his assistance in providing transportation support to The Fargo Police Department on January 21, 2025.
