Name a Snow Plow Contest
Calling all creative minds! We're looking for catchy, memorable, Fargo-centric names for our snow plows. The winning names will be featured on the snow plows and the individuals who submit the winning names will be featured in a City video that is shared on the City's official social media channels. The deadline to submit entries is Thursday, December 5.
Contest Rules
- Submitted names must be under 20 characters and three words or fewer.
- Names that are Fargo or North Dakota-centric will be awarded extra points.
- Entries must be original and not violate any copyright or trademark laws.
- Names cannot include profanity or inappropriate language.
- If a name is submitted multiple times, the entry received first will be considered.
- Up to three entries per person are allowed.
- You must be a Fargo resident, 13 years of age or older, to participate.
Public Vote
Ten finalists will be chosen by representatives from the City's Public Works department, Engineering department and members of the Fargo City Commission, based on creativity, originality and overall appeal. The finalists will then be posted to The City of Fargo's official social media channels for a public vote. The names with the most 'likes' across all social media platforms will be featured on the plows for the 2024-2025 winter season.
