- Ticketing RFP Update: The ticketing RFP’s were due January 17, 2020 and there were four companies that responded. The RFP’s are being evaluated and compared to the required criteria. Interviews will most likely take place in March and committee members were encouraged to attend.
- Sole Source Provider/Piggyback Request: Rob had a sole source
provider/piggyback request to use AVI for the meeting room projector upgrade project. AVI had completed the last upgrade on the system in the meeting rooms. The new project includes replacing the four projectors in the 200 level meeting rooms and moving the projectors that are being replaced from the 200 level meeting rooms to the 100 level meeting rooms. There would also be a wiring upgrade in the 100 level meeting rooms. FARGODOME would be able to piggyback on the contract AVI has with the state bringing the total project cost to $84,000. There is a line item in the 2020 capital budget for $120,000 for this project. The Building and Finance Committees each accepted a motion to approve AVI as the Sole Source Provider for the meeting room projector project at a cost of $84,000.
- Project Updates & Dressing Room Tour: Rob continues to work with RL Engebretson on potential upgrades to the backstage area, including dressing rooms and the catering room. Rob presented a slideshow of what the potential upgrades could look like. Rob noted that the next step would be to bid out the construction costs for the project. Once the bids come back, approval would be needed by the Building and Finance Committees, Fargo Dome Authority and City Commission before moving forward with the project. The Building and Finance Committees each accepted motions to move forward with bidding out the construction costs for the project.
Blake Nelson made a motion to approve the Building and Finance Committee report as presented.
On call of the roll, Armbrust, Ellingson, Goergen, Nelson, Steen and Suppes voted aye. Absent and not voting: Jordheim.
The motion was declared carried.
