MINUTES OF THE FARGO DOME AUTHORITY MEETING
A regular meeting of the Fargo Dome Authority was held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. in the FARGODOME Conference Room with President Troy Goergen presiding.
Members present: President Troy Goergen, Blake Nelson, Michael Ellingson, David Suppes, and Dan Armbrust.
Members absent: Nancy Jordheim and Vern Bennett.
Others present: Ryan Green – City of Fargo; Sarah Dykema, Director of Marketing – FARGODOME; Bernie Larson, Assistant General Manager – FARGODOME; Susan Thompson, Director of Finance – FARGODOME and Rob Sobolik, General Manager – FARGODOME; Bob Flam – Fargo Chick Fil A; Tonette Brackins – Fargo Chick Fil A.

President Troy Goergen called the meeting to order at 3:32 p.m.
Troy Goergen asked to add a sole source provider request under Additional Items.
David Suppes made a motion, seconded by Blake Nelson, to approve the revised agenda of the September 24, 2019 Fargo Dome Authority meeting. Motion carried.
Dan Armbrust made a motion, seconded by Mike Ellingson, to approve the minutes from the August 27, 2019 Fargo Dome Authority meeting. Motion carried.
Catering Application – Chick Fil A:
The Authority reviewed the catering application from Chick Fil A. Dan Armbrust made a motion, seconded by David Suppes, to approve the catering application from Chick Fil A as presented.
On call of the roll, Armbrust, Ellingson, Goergen, Suppes and Nelson voted aye. Absent and not voting: Bennett and Jordheim.
The motion was declared carried.
Bob Flam and Tonette Brackins left the meeting.
Rob Sobolik presented the General Manager’s report as follows:
Year-to-Date Net Income through August is stated at $184,093, which is a positive variance (to budget) of $121,927.
Upon review, Blake Nelson made a motion, seconded by David Suppes, to approve the August financial statements as presented.
On call of the roll, Armbrust, Ellingson, Goergen, Suppes and Nelson voted aye. Absent and not voting: Bennett and Jordheim.
The motion was declared carried.

Blake Nelson presented the Fargo Dome Authority Building and Finance Committee report. The Fargo Dome Authority Building and Finance Committees met on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. Items discussed included:
August 2019 Financial Statements: The August 2019 Financial Statements were approved by the Finance Committee at the meeting on September 18, 2019.
The proposed timeline for the Ticketing RFP was presented. See attached.
Project Updates: Family Restroom/Nursing Room Project: The project is scheduled to be completed by October 15, 2019.
Blake Nelson made a motion to approve the Building and Finance Committee report as presented.

Additional Items:
Rob Sobolik presented a request to approve of the designation of sole-source provider for ICS General Contractor of Grand Forks, ND (ICS) for work on the mechanical system for the Magic Carpet II football turf system currently installed at FARGODOME. This would be for any work necessary on the mechanical system for the football turf related to repair/replacement of motors, pumps, chains, gears, belts, cobs, winches, controls, hydraulics, storage pit lid, etc. ICS has been identified by AstroTurf as their preferred contractor on any work related to these items and is the local contractor most familiar with the systems. This request would be for a 15 month period from October 1, 2019 through December 31, 2020. ICS assisted AstroTurf with the initial installation of this system at FARGODOME in 2012, and has been the vendor recommended by AstroTurf when they are not able to get to Fargo for repairs to the system in a timely manner. Upon FDA approval, the request will forwarded to the Fargo City Commission for approval.
Mike Ellingson made a motion, seconded by David Suppes, to approve sole source provider designation for ICS General Contractor related to the turf mechanical system. On call of the roll, Armbrust, Ellingson, Goergen, Suppes and Nelson voted aye. Absent and not voting: Bennett and Jordheim.
The motion was declared carried.
