Fargo Youth Initiative Members
The Fargo Youth Initiative serves as an advisory body to the Fargo City Commission representing the current needs and issues of the City’s youth. It consists of up to 20 students representing 9th to 12th grade from high schools around Fargo. In addition, a representative of the Fargo City Commission and a representative of the Fargo Public School’s Board of Education shall serve as non-voting liaison members.

Consider Serving Your Community
If you are interested in being a member of the Fargo Youth Initiative, please complete our application form to express your interest. Applications are accepted year-round but only reviewed once annually near the start of each fall semester. Check the application form for specific submittal deadlines. All applicants will be notified within two weeks of the fall application review session of whether they will be accepted.
Applications are considered based upon the following criteria:
- Leadership abilities
- Drive/Ambition to improve the community
- Responsibility
- Representation from every school and grade
