Children's book author Elizabeth Raum will be visiting the Main Library on April 11 at 2 p.m. Raum will present on her latest middle-grade novel, Boy With a Fife: Ebenezer Fletcher's War of Independence where she'll introduce us to one of her real ancestors who, as a boy, was injured in the Revolutionary War. Raum will take us into the early days of the Revolutionary War and explain the differences between fiction and nonfiction portrayals of an event, and why this book is historical fiction. We'll also learn how she came to write the novel and get a glimpse into her research and writing process. This event is being held in conjunction with the Homeschool History Alive! Book Club, but is open to the public who are encouraged to attend! No pre-registration is necessary.
