Board of Adjustment Members
The Board of Adjustment is comprised of five members and one alternate appointed by the City Commission for three-year terms.
In order for the board to grant a deviation from the zoning code, four board members must vote in favor of granting the variance. If a variance is granted, it becomes null and void after one year if it has not been utilized.
The petitioner can file an appeal of the board's decision within 10 days of receiving notice of the decision. Appeals are filed with the City Auditor's office and reviewed by the City Commission.
