The Fargo Fire Department was dispatched at 10:12 a.m. on Friday, April 25, to a report of a fire in the basement at 2665 Meadow Creek Circle South.
Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke conditions inside the house and a fire in the basement. The fire extended into roof attic space through void spaces up from the basement.
All residents were outside by the time crews arrived. The fire was controlled about an hour after arrival.
No injuries were reported. The residents were displaced due to significant fire and smoke damage to the home; a cost estimate of the damage is not yet available. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The Fargo Fire Department responded with five engines, one ladder truck and two command vehicles. A second alarm was called to bring in additional Fargo Fire crews and mutual aid from Moorhead and West Fargo Fire Departments. The Fargo Police Department, Sanford Ambulance, Salvation Army and American Red Cross assisted at the scene.
