Are you an up-and-coming, recreational photographer? The Fargo Public Library is seeking submissions for its sixth annual Northern Focus photography project for adults and teens ages 13 and older. Submissions will be accepted online only through May 31, 2025, at fargolibrary.wufoo.com/forms/northern-focus-2025. All entries will be included in a photo exhibit at the downtown Main Library in the fall, and 15 photos will be selected and featured in a special program booklet. In addition, one photo will be selected as the cover art for the library’s 2025 Northern Narratives publication.
All photos must be taken regionally (within North Dakota or Minnesota) and convey a sense of the people, places and/or happenings that make up the diverse community and region. There is no fee to enter; however, those submitting a photo must certify they are the author and copyright holder of the photo. It is the artist’s responsibility to obtain releases from their subjects. Submitted photos must be suitable for public display and community viewing as determined by the library. Obscene, provocative or otherwise questionable content will not be considered.
