On December 26 at approximately 6:00 p.m., bus driver Zachary Armstrong was driving Route 15, which runs between downtown and West Acres/Walmart, when he noticed a female passenger was slumped down in her seat and another passenger was trying to get her to respond. Zachary pulled the bus over and contacted dispatch to send emergency services to the scene. He then retrieved Narcan spray and, with help from the other passenger, administered the spray. The female passenger quickly responded to the Narcan and when emergency services arrived, they removed the female passenger from the bus. This is the first time a bus driver has utilized Narcan spray, which is located on every bus. The City and the Transit Department would like to commend Zachary for his quick thinking and assistance to the passenger.

As part of Fargo’s commitment to sustainability and responsible waste management, I am excited to share about the City’s sanitary landfill reclamation project. This initiative focuses on excavating and modernizing the east landfill site, ensuring environmental safety, reducing long-term liabilities and maximizing the use of City-owned land. It is a forward-thinking project that demonstrates how the City can be innovative to protect the community and the environment.
