Due to ongoing staffing level issues and to maintain a sustainable level of service hours, the Fargo Public Library will have new hours of operation starting January 1, 2025.
“The Fargo Public Library has worked diligently to identify a sustainable level of service hours based on current staffing levels,” said Library Director Tim Dirks. “Starting in January of 2025, the library’s service hours will be adjusted based on that comprehensive analysis. The Fargo Public Library looks forward to continuing to provide a high level of service to the Fargo community in 2025.”
Starting January 1, 2025, all Fargo Public Library locations will be closed Sundays, and the Main Library will open at 10 a.m. Monday through Thursday.
Main Library hours starting January 1, 2025:
• Monday-Thursday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Friday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Saturday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Sunday: Closed.
Dr. James Carlson Library hours starting January 1, 2025:
• Monday-Thursday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Friday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Saturday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Sunday: Closed.
Northport Library hours as of January 1, 2025, will not change:
• Monday-Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Wednesday-Thursday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Friday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Saturday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Sunday: Closed. (The Northport Library currently maintains no Sunday hours.)
