Fargo Library to Host First Amendment Film Series Featuring Movies Made from Banned or Challenged Books

The four-part series begins Saturday, September 7, at the Main Library

In conjunction with Banned Books Week and Constitution Day, the Fargo Public Library will host a four-part film series titled "First Amendment Film Series" starting Saturday, Sept. 7, at the downtown Main Library featuring book-to-screen adaptations of banned or challenged titles. All films begin at 2 p.m. and are approximately 120 minutes long.
Dates and film titles are:
• September 7 – “Dead Poets Society” (PG)
• September 14 – “Captain Underpants” (PG)
• September 21 – “Twelfth Night” (PG)
• September 28 – “The Hate U Give” (PG-13)

Free popcorn will be served during the screenings. Children ages 9 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. For more details, call Erin G. at the Adult Services Desk at 701.241.1492.
