The North Dakota Department of Transportation and The City of Fargo contractors will begin the underground utility and roadway construction portions of Phase 2 of the 52nd Avenue South reconstruction project on Monday, July 1. As part of Phase 2, the 52nd Avenue South/Sheyenne Street roundabout will be closed for reconstruction. Work on Phase 2 is anticipated to conclude on August 15.
The roundabout closure will be in addition to the ongoing work in Phase 1 east of the Sheyenne River and up to 63rd Street South. Work for all phases is scheduled to be completed by late August 2024.
Pedestrian access is not currently supported through this corridor, so no pedestrian access will be maintained. The City of Fargo appreciates the public's cooperation and patience during the construction period. Please plan your routes accordingly and drive safely in construction zones.
