This summer, the Fargo Public Library invites residents to explore different parts of Fargo with meet-ups designed to help people discover new trails as part of the Summer Reading Challenge. Every other week, walkers will meet on Saturday at the beginning of a new trail (not at the library!) starting at 10 a.m. and take a stroll through one of the parks in Fargo. All ages are welcome. Attend one or all of the meet-up walking sessions. No registration is required. For further details, contact Megan at mlass@fargolibrary.org or 701.476.6615.

Dates and locations in the summer walking club series include:
• June 15 – Island Park at 10 a.m. (participants meet at the corner of 4th Street and 2nd Avenue South)
• June 29 – Lions Conservancy Park at 10 a.m. (1221 El Cano Drive)
• July 13 – Oak Grove Park at 10 a.m. (170 Maple St. N.)
• July 27 – Orchard Glen Park at 10 a.m. (7606 Forest River Road S.)
• August 10 – Lindenwood Park at 10 a.m. (1905 Roger Maris Drive)

This activity is part of the Fargo Public Library’s free 2024 Summer Reading Challenge that runs through August 17. This year’s theme celebrates adventure and learning and offers a summer filled with exciting stories, weekly special events, performances and activities for all ages – kids, teens and adults. Anyone can participate by reading, attending events and completing challenges. The Fargo Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge is sponsored in part by the Friends of the Fargo Public Library.

All Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public. Adults must accompany children ages 9 and younger.
