The annual Summer Reading Challenge for all ages starts June 3rd and the theme this year is "Adventure Begins at Your Library."

The annual Summer Reading Challenge for all ages starts June 3rd and the theme this year is “Adventure Begins at Your Library.” Similar to last year, participants are encouraged to read daily to complete challenges, earn badges and win prizes. Participation in the reading challenge is free and residents are encouraged to visit the library’s website to get registered or download the Beanstack app to keep track of their reading over the summer.

Planting Day at the Carlson Library Learning Gardens is May 30th starting at 10 a.m. Residents of all ages are welcome to come by and help plant the gardens.

The Summer Reading Adventures Kickoff Party is June 3rd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rheault Farm.

Monthly Community Game Nights are held the first Monday evening of each month at the Northport Library.

An Iced Tea Tasting program for adults and teens will be June 8th at the Carlson Library. Pre-registration is required.

“Library Night at the FM RedHawks” will be May 29th. Fargo Public Library staff will be at the game spreading the word about the library’s resources and upcoming library events.

The US Census has released 2023 city population estimates and between 2022 and 2023, Fargo grew by 1,744 people to a population of 133,188, Moorhead grew by 378 to a population of 45,202, West Fargo grew by 420 to a population of 40,400 and Horace grew by 1,374 to a population of 5,643.
