01/11/2024 10:00 a.m.

During the morning of Jan. 11, Fargo Mayor Dr. Tim Mahoney and other local mayors participated in the 2024 State of the Cities event hosted by the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce. In his remarks, Mayor Mahoney recapped Fargo’s achievements of the past year and offered a blueprint for continued success in 2024. In conjunction with The Chamber event, The City of Fargo released the “Your Fargo” State of the City video underscoring six core values: Caring, Preparing, Collaborating, Growing, Serving and Honoring. The video celebrates Fargo as a city of limitless opportunity where young people, families and seniors can thrive – a community where residents can have true purpose.

"In 2023, Fargo experienced many challenges; yet, what makes Fargo unique remains constant – we’re a community big enough to offer everything you need and yet small enough to make it your own,” Mayor Mahoney stated. “The City of Fargo is Your Fargo – a place where you can make your mark, a community you can call home.”

The high-definition video and an interactive website are available at FargoND.gov/YourFargo.

Mayor Mahoney closed his remarks with gratitude to the residents of Fargo: “The people of Fargo are what makes us great. It is the people who will shape our future. Thank you for being a part of Your Fargo, a community where your contributions matter."
