The City of Fargo offices, Fargo Cass Public Health, Fargo Public Library, MATBUS routes and garbage & recycling collections will be impacted by the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. The following closures and service changes will be in effect:
Sunday, December 24:
• MATBUS: No paratransit service (fixed-route service does not operate on Sundays)
• Fargo Public Library (all branches): Closed
Monday, December 25:
• MATBUS: No paratransit or fixed-route service, and administrative offices will be closed
• The City of Fargo offices: Closed
• Fargo Cass Public Health (including WIC and the Family Planning Clinic): Closed
• Fargo Public Library (all branches): Closed
• Sanitary Landfill and Household Hazardous Waste Facility: Closed
• Residential garbage and recycling will be collected on Tuesday, December 26
Sunday, December 31:
• MATBUS: Paratransit service will operate as normal (fixed-route service does not operate on Sundays)
Monday, January 1, 2024:
• MATBUS: No paratransit or fixed-route service, and administrative offices will be closed
• The City of Fargo offices: Closed
• Fargo Cass Public Health (including WIC and the Family Planning Clinic): Closed
• Fargo Public Library (all branches): Closed
• Sanitary Landfill and Household Hazardous Waste Facility: Closed
• Residential garbage and recycling will be collected on Tuesday, January 2
Residential garbage and recycling for Monday, December 25, will be collected on Tuesday, December 26, while December 26-29 collections will be on schedule. For the week of New Year’s Day, garbage and recycling collections will follow the same schedule as the week of Christmas. Residents scheduled to have their garbage picked up are encouraged to place their bins on the boulevard by 8 a.m. to ensure prompt service.
