((CORRECTION)) Cass County Alcohol Compliance Check Results

Alcohol compliance checks were performed across Cass County on September 14. In total, 12 businesses were checked and 9 passed, resulting in a 75% compliance rate.

Note: Due to a clerical error, the news release issued on September 29, detailing results of alcohol compliance checks conducted in Cass County on September 14, inaccurately reported Club 94 in Casselton as having failed the compliance check. Club 94 passed the alcohol compliance check. Fargo Cass Public Health apologizes for any confusion the initial news release may have caused and appreciates the diligence of the business community in ensuring alcohol is not sold to minors. The below news release contains the corrected information.

Alcohol compliance checks were performed across Cass County on September 14. In total, 12 businesses were checked and 9 passed, resulting in a 75% compliance rate.

Fargo Cass Public Health (FCPH) appreciates the cooperation of the business communities across Cass County. Several times per year, FCPH partners with local law enforcement agencies to carry out alcohol compliance checks in Fargo, West Fargo, and Cass County. The intent of the checks is to ensure alcohol retailers are not selling any alcohol to minors. Licensed alcohol retailers are encouraged to periodically review City Ordinances and state laws related to sale of alcohol and to include this important information in training for new employees.

Cass County businesses that failed:
• Old 10 Saloon – 407 Main Street, Buffalo – Second fail in one year
• Harwood Grill & Saloon – 217 Chapin Drive, Harwood – First fail in one year
• Happy Trails – 301 County Hwy 81, Argusville – First fail in one year

Cass County penalties:
• An alcohol compliance failure in Cass County is considered an infraction, the penalty is imposed by the court, and the entity who signs their liquor license is notified.
