For the 2023 growing season, the Fargo Public Library is hosting a Planting Day event starting at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 1, at the Library Learning Gardens at the Dr. James Carlson Library branch, 2801 32nd Ave. S. Growing Together, a local community garden group, and the library are partnering to plant, maintain and harvest the library’s garden plots. All ages are invited to help in getting the gardens ready and planted for the season. No experience is necessary.

Additionally, weekly volunteer sessions for the library gardens will continue Thursdays at 10 a.m. throughout the summer and early fall. All ages are welcome to volunteer and no gardening experience is necessary. These sessions will be a great way to be active while learning about gardening.

For more information about Planting Day, the Library Learning Gardens or volunteering, contact Lori West at 701.476.5977.
