Cross-state collaborations led to arrests of two individuals

02/10/2023

The Fargo Police Department (FPD) is announcing that two suspects involved in the attempted robbery of a jewelry store in the 5600 block of 28th Ave. S. on Wednesday, February 8, have been arrested in Michigan.

Dajuan Marcellus, a 32-year-old resident of Detroit, Michigan, and Kordaryl Cross, a 32-year-old resident of Detroit, Michigan, were arrested on Thursday, February 9. Both were arrested on the charge of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.

The arrests were made by the Michigan State Police, which stopped the suspects’ vehicle after FPD issued a Be On Look Out (BOLO) alert to both the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and peer agencies in other states and jurisdictions.

“I want to compliment the quick response of our officers and the tenacious investigative work of the FPD Criminal Investigations Division. Our team worked collaboratively with federal partners and other law enforcement agencies to quickly identify the suspects involved in this brazen crime, leading to the arrest of these two individuals,” said Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski.

The FPD Criminal Investigations Division is working in collaboration with the FBI to continue the investigation into other potential suspects related to Wednesday’s incident.

This is an ongoing investigation and no other details are currently releasable.
