On Wednesday, November 9 from approximately 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., The Fargo Police Department (FPD) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will conduct a joint community outreach initiative at The Arbors at McCormick Park in Fargo.
¬¬
The purpose of this collaborative effort is to build and strengthen relationships between law enforcement and The Arbors community. This initiative is being conducted in response to persistent violent crime-related incidents in the area over the past year.
With approval and assistance from the management of The Arbors, law enforcement personnel from the FPD and FBI, including detectives, Special Agents and uniformed patrol, will be knocking on doors and having conversations with residents. FBI personnel will include interpreters to communicate with residents whose primary language may not be English. Agencies are not conducting search warrants or searching for specific individuals.
This is the first time the FPD has collaborated with the FBI on such an initiative.
Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski commented, “Through this collaborative effort with our federal partners, we aim to build better relationships with the Arbors community and help prevent future violent crime in the area. This initiative reflects our commitment to developing safe and unified communities built on trust, accountability and inclusion.”
