Fargo Residents Encouraged to Apply to Serve on the Housing & Redevelopment Authority

The City of Fargo is seeking applicants to fill one opening on the volunteer committee

The City of Fargo has one opening on the Housing & Redevelopment Authority. Residents are encouraged to apply for appointment by visiting FargoND.gov/GettingInvolved.

Applications will begin to be reviewed on October 28, 2022 and applying before that date is encouraged and appreciated.

Second Tuesday of the month at 1:30 p.m. at the Fargo Housing & Redevelopment Authority Main Building

Average Time Commitment:
Two (2) hours per month

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversees the management of approximately 700 units of public and affordable housing and a federal rent assistance program, which together serve approximately 4,500 low and moderate income tenants.
  2. Creates and is responsible for a multi-million dollar annual budget and several federal housing programs.
  3. Assists in identifying and addressing housing needs for the City.
  4. Advocates for affordable housing tenants and support programs.

In addition to this opening, residents are encouraged to research and apply for appointment to any of the boards, commissions and committees for consideration in the event of future vacancies.
