Fargo Public Library Receives Star Library Award

The North Dakota State Library has awarded the Fargo Public Library the 2021 North Dakota Star Library Award for going above and beyond.

The North Dakota State Library recently awarded the Fargo Public Library with the 2021 North Dakota Star Library Award for going above and beyond with the service provided to our community. Fargo Public Library was compared to other libraries with similar operating expenditures in North Dakota, and was ranked in the top three libraries in this category for 2021.

The award is based on circulation, central branch service hours, program attendance, combined computer and WiFi usage and the percentage of North Dakota Library Coordinating Council Standards for Public Libraries met.

Library Director Tim Dirks was presented with the Star Library Award on Oct. 7, 2021, at the North Dakota Library Association Conference held in Grand Forks.
