Yesterday, Sgt. Mike Sanden talked with VNL Reporter Bailey Hurley on ND Open Carry and Concealed weapons laws stemming from the incident that occurred last night involving a male in the Brunsdale Park area with a holstered handgun on his hip.

Last night, July 21, Fargo Officers responded to a call regarding a male walking towards Brunsdale Park, in the 1700 block of 27 Ave. S., wearing a tactical vest and armed with a handgun. Officers made contact with the male who was sitting on a bench along the bike path. The male was cooperative and provided them his identification card and concealed weapons permit. The male did have a holster with a handgun in plain view on his hip, which is legal in North Dakota. The male continued on his way out of the area after the officers’ interaction with him.
