Archivist and researcher Mark Peihl will present some of Fargo's history at the Main Library March 27

Mark Peihl, archivist and researcher with the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County, will present two historical topics Wednesday, March 27, at 7 p.m. in the community room of the downtown Main Library.

Mark Peihl, archivist and researcher with the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County, will present two historical topics Wednesday, March 27, at 7 p.m. in the community room of the downtown Main Library. Mark will discuss the history of the Mid-America Steel company site in downtown Fargo, an area that was significant in Fargo’s early history. Mid-America will be vacating the site by the end of 2019 and future development has yet to be determined. Mark will also discuss the days of electric trolleys in Fargo-Moorhead. The trolley system served the FM area for several decades before automobiles ruled the day. All ages are welcome.
