WHEREAS, John Hanson has served the Fargo-Moorhead community; and

WHEREAS, Co-workers, residents, family and friends honor John Hanson and his achievements on his departure from the Fargo-Moorhead community; and

WHEREAS, John Hanson diligently and capably, and with substantial knowledge, experience, dedication and passion for improving the broadcast journalism community served by KVRR local news, trained countless numbers of young journalists, inspired the KVRR newsroom to adopt his commitment to patient urgency, did his single best to keep Sandy’s Doughnuts in business; and

WHEREAS, Everyone has appreciated his loyalty, devotion and dedication to his co-workers, friends and the Fargo-Moorhead community; and

WHEREAS, The lives of everyone he covered, met and taught have been enhanced by his dedication.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, do hereby proclaim February 15, 2019 as
JOHN HANSON DAY
in the City of Fargo, North Dakota and call upon his friends and associates to celebrate this special day so his work and impact will be honored and remembered.
