Mayoral Proclamation - Fargo Youth Hockey Squirt International Month

I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, North Dakota,do hereby proclaim February 2019 as Fargo Youth Hockey Squirt International Month.

  • WHEREAS, The Fargo Youth Hockey Association will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Squirt International Hockey Tournament; and

  • WHEREAS, Hockey teams numbering 224 will travel to Fargo over three weekends to compete in this prestigious youth hockey event - February 7-10, February 14-17 and February 21-24; and

  • WHEREAS, Thousands of players and fans from all over the United States and Canada will be in attendance to compete, trade pins and watch youth hockey; and

  • WHEREAS, The citizens of North Dakota wish to congratulate the Fargo Youth Hockey Association on the 35th anniversary of the Squirt International Hockey Tournament; and

  • WHEREAS, The citizens of Fargo and North Dakota extend the warmest welcome to all youth hockey fans visiting our great city and wish them good luck.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, North Dakota, do hereby proclaim February 2019 as

Fargo Youth Hockey Squirt International Month

in the City of Fargo, North Dakota.
