07/17/2026

The City of Fargo is inviting residents to follow the City's 2027 budget process during a series of budget workshop sessions July 20-22. Residents are encouraged to attend in person or watch online to learn how the City allocates public funds and how budget decisions are made. The workshops will be streamed live on the City's social media platforms, cable access channels and TVFargo.com.

The budget workshop sessions will be held in the Commission Chambers at Fargo City Hall, 225 4th St. N., on the following dates:
• Monday, July 20, from 8 a.m. to noon
• Tuesday, July 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Wednesday, July 22, from 8 a.m. to noon

The budget workshop agenda and materials are available to the public at FargoND.gov/2027Budget. All members of the Fargo City Commission have been invited to the budget workshop sessions, and a quorum of the City Commission may be present at each session.

Introduced in 2025, the public budget workshops give the City Commission and City staff an opportunity to review and discuss department budget requests before the City Commission considers the preliminary budget. This year, the preliminary 2027 Budget will be presented to the City Commission for approval on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026. Residents will have an opportunity to provide public comments on the preliminary 2027 Budget during the public hearing at the City Commission meeting on Sept. 14, 2026. The City Commission is expected to adopt the final 2027 Budget during its Sept. 28, 2026, meeting.
