Due to high wind speeds, the Fargo Sanitary Landfill will close at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 14. Pending acceptable wind conditions, the landfill will be open during normal hours on Friday, May 15.
The Residential Transfer Station (4501 7th Ave. N.) and Household Hazardous Waste Facility (606 43 1/2 St. N.) will remain open to Fargo residents and operate at normal hours. Additionally, residents can still pick up compost from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, at the compost site west of the Household Hazardous Waste Facility.
