The City of Fargo Solid Waste Department is notifying residents of a temporary closure of the recycling drop site at Longfellow Park, beginning Monday, May 4. The closure is expected to last until late June; however, the timeline is weather dependent and may change.
The closure is necessary to accommodate a Fargo Park District project involving the removal and replacement of the asphalt parking lot at Longfellow Park, located at the intersection of Elm Street and Forest Avenue North.
During the construction period, residents are encouraged to use alternative recycling drop sites, including the Water Reclamation Plant at 10th Street North and 37th Avenue North, or the Coliseum at 807 17th Ave. N. (north side of the building).
A full list of City of Fargo recycling drop-site locations is available at FargoND.gov/RecyclingDropSites.
The City of Fargo appreciates residents’ patience and cooperation during this temporary closure.
