Fargo Library Offers Events for Teens and Kids This Week

A birding event for kids, a K-Pop themed trivia event, a special teen Library Lair session and an Easter egg event are planned

The Fargo Public Library has free events scheduled for teens and kids to help make the most of the days off from school.

First, area youngsters can join Audubon Great Plains staff for a story, indoor birding and craft event on Tuesday, March 17, starting at 11 a.m. at the downtown Main Library. The event will feature stories about birds, hands-on activities including learning how to describe birds in the field while documenting their findings in their own birding journal, along with a themed craft. This event is geared toward kids ages 3 to 9. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. Register online or contact the Children’s Services Department at 701.241.1495.

Teens are invited to a special edition of Library Lair set for Thursday, March 19, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dr. James Carlson Library. The event will feature activities, snacks and hang-out time for teens. All materials will be provided. This program is for ages 12 to 18, and no registration is required. Next, teens and tweens are invited to join us for a K-Pop Demon Hunter Trivia event on Thursday, March 19, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the downtown _Main Library. Participants will test their skills through rounds of trivia, while enjoying delicious themed snacks and competing for prizes. This event is open to families with tweens and teens ages 11 and older. Finally, area kids are invited to hop on down to the Main Library on Saturday, March 21, starting at 10 a.m. for some Easter egg fun. The open house-style event will feature games, crafts and experiments with plastic eggs. This program is geared toward kids ages 5 to 12. No pre-registration is required.
