North Dakota author Barb Solberg will visit the Fargo Public Library for a reading and book signing of her 2022 book, “What We Leave Behind,” on Monday, Feb. 23, at 6 p.m. at the downtown Main Library.
Solberg’s 2022 historical novel focuses on Norwegian immigrants who come to America in pursuit of a better life, and is based on Solberg's own ancestors. She will discuss the origins of her book, as well as the writing and publishing process. “What We Leave Behind” was selected as a 2025 North Dakota Great Reads from Great Places at the National Book Festival, sponsored by the Library of Congress and the North Dakota Center for the Book. A book signing will follow. Books will be available for purchase, and no registration is required for this free event. Contact Lori at 701.476.5977 for additional details.
