On Thursday, December 11, at approximately 2:34 p.m., Fargo Police officers responded to an assist other agency call in the 1500 block of Broadway North. FPD officers responded to assist the Minnesota Department of Corrections (MN DOC) in locating a wanted person.
The wanted person refused to exit the residence for officers. Due to known factors and the person’s known criminal history, the Red River Valley SWAT Team was activated. After a standoff, officers safely resolved the situation at 6:15 p.m.
Damon Peterson, a 24-year-old Moorhead resident, was arrested for Preventing Arrest and for his warrant through MN DOC for a parole violation related to a previous burglary conviction.
