The City of Fargo and the City of Moorhead are hosting a public input meeting on Thursday, November 6, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Trollwood Performing Arts School, 801 50th Ave. S. in Moorhead, to discuss the construction of a new pedestrian bridge over the Red River.
The pedestrian bridge would span the Red River near 40th Avenue South in Fargo and 50th Avenue South in Moorhead by the Bluestem Amphitheater. The project would include the construction of path segments connecting to existing shared-use paths in both cities. The bridge and 10-foot-wide path are scheduled to be constructed in 2027, funded with federal and local funds.
Representatives from both cities and Houston Engineering will attend the public input meeting to answer questions and discuss concerns in an open-house format. Community members who are unable to attend the meeting can send written comments postmarked or emailed by Thursday, November 13, with “Public Input Meeting – SP 144-09-020” in the letter heading or email subject. Please send all comments to Mike Love, Houston Engineering Inc., 1401 21st Ave. N., Fargo, ND 58102 or email mlove@houstoneng.com.
