National Reptile Awareness Day happens each year in October to promote education, conservation and appreciation for reptiles. To celebrate these not-so-creepy crawlers, the Fargo Public Library is hosting a “Reptiles at the Library!” event on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon at the downtown Main Library located at 101 4th St. N.

Students from NDSU’s Herpetology class will be on hand to show off some of their scaly sidekicks and provide close-up interactions with these cold-blooded creatures. A reptile craft and other themed activities will be available during this free open-house event. Registration is not required.
