As part of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, the Fargo Public Library is hosting “Mixed Nuts” an all-ages comedy show on Friday, June 27, starting at 1 p.m. at the downtown Main Library, 101 4th St. N. Kids of all ages are invited to attend this wacky, family-friendly performance. “Mixed Nuts” entertainers and artists Lori and Mark Hurley engage young audiences with age-appropriate humor, physical comedy, and audience participation. No registration is required for this free event. For further details, contact the Children’s Services Department at 701.241.1495 or email kids@fargolibrary.org.
The comedy duo has been together for over 20 years and is based out of the Twin Cities but also performs nationally. Lori was a Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus clown and met Mark in college. Making others laugh is their full-time occupation.
This event is part of the Fargo Public Library’s free 2025 Summer Reading Challenge that runs through August 23. This year’s theme celebrates art and learning and offers a summer filled with colorful stories, weekly special events, performances and activities for all ages – kids, teens and adults. Anyone can participate by reading, attending events and completing challenges. The Fargo Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge is sponsored in part by the Friends of the Fargo Public Library.
All Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public.
