The Fargo Police Department (FPD) will host its annual Fargo Police Community Picnic on Wednesday, June 18, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Broadway Square (201 Broadway N.). This year’s event will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the department’s service to the community.

The free event is open to the public and provides an opportunity for community members to connect with law enforcement, emergency responders and other local agencies in an informal, family-friendly setting.
Scheduled activities include inflatable games, prizes and interactive law enforcement exhibits such as K-9 demonstrations, equipment displays and emergency vehicle tours. Children are invited to take part in a sticker design station — one drawing will be selected after a community vote on FPD’s social media channels and turned into an official FPD sticker. Sanford Health is also proudly supporting this year’s celebration, helping make the event possible for the Fargo community.

Event features include:
• Complimentary treats provided by Old Dutch Foods, Cass Clay Creamery and Sandy’s Donuts (while supplies last)
• Free balloon characters sponsored by Xcel Energy
• Music by Platinum Plus DJ and a special performance by the Buffalo River Singers, Drums and Dancers

To accommodate the event, 2nd Avenue South will be closed and parking will be restricted between 5th Street North and Broadway and Roberts Alley and Broadway beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18. Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes.

Participants are encouraged to use available parking in The City of Fargo’s parking ramps and surface lots in the downtown area. Parking in select locations is free after 5 p.m. Visit FargoParking.com/Locations for more information.

The Fargo Police Community Picnic reflects the department’s continued commitment to community engagement, public trust, and service.
