Join us as we welcome North Dakota author Barb Solberg for a reading and book signing for What We Leave Behind. Her 2022 historical novel focuses on Norwegian immigrants who come to America in pursuit of a better life, and is based partially on Solberg's own ancestors. Solberg will be discussing the origins of her book, as well as the writing and publishing process.
What We Leave Behind was selected as a 2025 North Dakota Great Reads from Great Places at the National Book Festival, sponsored by the Library of Congress and the North Dakota Center for the Book. Copies of the books will be available for purchase at the event.
