Mavis Goodroad, president of the North Dakota American Legion Auxiliary, will give a presentation about the 225 North Dakota women who served as registered nurses for the U.S Army and Red Cross during World War I at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at the Main Library. Goodroad’s talk will feature stories and histories from the book “North Dakota Nurses Over There 1917-1919” by Dr. Grace E.F. Holmes.
