Project Overview:

This project will construct a 10' wide off-road shared use path that connects the Milwaukee Trail at 25th Street to the trail system west of Drain 27 and near Timberline Drive South..


Impacts:

The project will require the construction of a box culvert at the drain crossing. Soil excavation, filling, and grading will be needed to tie the edge of the path to existing ground. Tree removals will occur in areas of conflict with proposed construction.

Timeline:

It is anticipated that construction will begin in the spring of 2025 with all roads reopened in the fall of 2025.


Funding:

This project will be funded with Federal and local money.


Purpose:

This path will expand Fargo’s pedestrian infrastructure by providing pedestrians with a direct and scenic route between the Milwaukee Trail at 25th Street South and the trail system west of Drain 27 near Timberline South. The path will accommodate different types of commuting including, walking, jogging, and biking.
