Zone: North
Project: 19th Avenue N Road Construction Projects
Contractors for the City of Fargo are making progress on the 19th Avenue N road reconstruction project. Beginning in the morning Monday, August 7, crews will shift traffic further west in the work zone after paving operations have been complete in the first stretch of the project near the interstate. By 7 a.m. on Monday, crews will close the 19th Ave. N roadway section between 41st Street N and 43rd Street N to continue roadway removals and underground utility improvements.
Local traffic will be able to access 19th Ave. N from 45th Street N and from the I-29 interchange to 41st St. N.
From August 7th through August 10th, the contractors will continue moving west and start with underground utility installation north of 19th Ave. N on 45th St. N. This utility work will required the section of 45th St. between 19th Ave. N and 32nd Avenue N to be closed to thru traffic. Local traffic access north of 19th Ave. N will be detoured Cass County Road 20.
The second project impacting traffic on 19th Ave. N west of 45th St. to 57th Street N is anticipated to start in Mid-August.
Speeds are reduced in the work zone so drivers are reminded to slow down, eliminate distractions and pay attention to signage, as crews may be working near traffic.
