Utility Box Project
The Utility Box Project is located along the Broadway corridor between 6th Avenue N. and Northern Pacific Avenue in downtown Fargo. The public art project activates underutilized spaces within the urban landscape.
Utilizing city infrastructure as a canvas provides a unique opportunity for local artist to display their creative endeavors and expose their artwork to new audiences. The addition of public art enhances Fargo’s quality of life, contributes to building a sense of place and provides the public an opportunity to freely experience art in their everyday lives.
Fargo BID and the Downtown Community Partnership (DCP) applied to the Arts and Culture Commissions Creative Capital Grant, which supports the public art projects of individuals and organizations within the City of Fargo.
If you have a public art project or idea that is in need of support, please contact the Planning and Development Department.
