Permits for Games of Chance
(Raffle, Benefits)
Only pre-qualified, public-spirited organizations or groups holding a benefit for persons of a hardship may apply for gaming in Fargo. If qualified to apply for a Game of Chance, such as a raffle or BINGO, fill out the application for Local Gaming Permit below. Applications are accepted at the Auditor's office, City Hall 225 4 St N along with a $25 fee. All applications must provide all information including the contact information of the organization, specific dates of the event(s), site name, site physical address, each itemized prize with the retail value of each itemized prize listed individually, and the intended uses of gaming proceeds. Cash drawings must have a percentage of proceeds, or a breakdown of the cash prizes listed. If there are multiple event dates or prizes that do not fit on the form, a separate sheet must be submitted with the application that provides a list of all event dates and/or prizes. The dates of activity and dates authorized must only be the range of actual dates for the event(s) (first event date thru last event date) and does not need to include the dates the organization is selling raffle tickets.
Incomplete applications may delay approval and issue of permit
